Hair Notes Privacy Policy

Hair Notes is provided by Clear Noise (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how information is handled in the Hair Notes app and when you contact us for support.
The short version: Your client records are stored on your device. Hair Notes does not require an account, and Clear Noise does not receive or maintain a copy of those records. You control what you enter, import, export, and share.
Information stored in Hair Notes
Hair Notes stores information you enter or import to help you maintain client records. This may include:
Client names and contact information.
Color formulas and service histories.
Appointment notes, preferences, and allergy information.
Client photos, reference images, and photos of finished work.
Saved favorites and app preferences.
The app uses this information to provide its features, including searching records, reviewing previous work, organizing photos, and creating exports.
Clear Noise does not use your client records for advertising, sell them, or upload them to a Clear Noise server. Hair Notes does not provide an account-based cloud synchronization service.
Photos, camera, and contacts
When you use a feature that needs access to your camera, photos, or contacts, your device may ask you to grant permission or select the information you want to import.
These features allow you to:
Take photos for client records and color formulas.
Add images from your photo library.
Import client details from your contacts.
You can manage available permissions in your device’s Settings. Declining access may prevent the related feature from working. Revoking permission does not automatically delete information you previously imported into Hair Notes.
Information you export or share
Hair Notes allows you to share formulas and photos and export selected images as a portfolio PDF.
When you choose to share or export information, the selected content is passed to the destination you choose, such as another app, a recipient, or a storage service. That destination handles the information under its own practices and privacy policy.
Review exported content before sharing it. Obtain any permission needed to store or share client information, particularly identifiable photos and sensitive notes.
Deleting information from Hair Notes does not delete copies you previously exported or shared.
Device backups
Depending on your device settings, Hair Notes data may be included in backups managed by Apple or stored on your computer. These backups are separate from any service provided by Clear Noise.
You control your backup settings and any copies retained outside the app. Clear Noise cannot access, manage, or delete those backups.
